Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the new story in the Final Fantasy VII remake project, a reimagining of the iconic original game into three standalone titles by its original creators. In this game, players will enjoy various new elements as the story unfolds, culminating in the midpoint from the original Final Fantasy VII.
For years now, the Shinra Electric Power Company has been providing the world with energy at the expense of the lifestream, the “river” whence all life flows and whither it returns. After storming the company’s headquarters and engaging in a series of battles for the ages, Cloud and his companions leave Midgar behind and set out for the wider world. Once in the grasslands, they hop aboard chocobos and embark on a journey with an unknown destination. Meanwhile, Zack—beaten and battered from his fight against an army of troopers—hobbles across the wastelands into Midgar with a mako-poisoned Cloud on his shoulder. Though he has managed to escape death for now, the ominous rift in the sky gives him little reason to rejoice. That is hardly the only threat facing the world, however. The Shinra Resistance Committee, backed by Wutai’s interim government, declares war on the company; figures shrouded in black robes carry with them the corpse of Jenova, a veritable calamity from another world; and the Weapons—fierce and monstrous guardians of the planet—have recently awakened. Amid this chaos, Sephiroth has set his plan in motion, thus ensuring myriad fates intertwine and are birthed anew.

Final Words: a great sequel and a fabulous game. It's the best that 2024 offered till now (I know, we still have a long way till the end of the year) but we also had great games in the meantime. The amount of mini-games are insane and you're gonna be amazed by it. The side quests are the best in the serie. The gameplay always has something new to show you and this is something you rarely see nowadays. The pacing of story has some ups and downs and it could've been better, but the characterizations are in a good level. Nevertheless the game is a Must Play.

The new introduction of multiple timelines can make the story confusing. However, the continuation of the journey is unbelievably good. You are brought close to these characters.
I loved the gameplay. Variety was expanded upon a lot, the synergy abilities for instance. It still retained the core of remakes gameplay close enough for it not to feel different.
I enjoyed the side content offered. As it actually feels worth it, some of the mini games are frustrating. I really enjoyed them overall. That first entrance into 'Kalm' was gaming at it's best.
Map design added quite a lot into the expansion from Remake. Each location is beautiful, and suited with their own music. Which makes the experience immersive.
I have to talk about the soundtrack. It does an exceptional job of capturing each moment and portraying the emotion to the player. Just listening alone, it's outstanding.
Final Verdict - I strongly recommend Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. There's passion here, and it's praiseworthy. A three year development gap exposes the games industry, when you see the scope of this game.
It has by far the biggest side content and mini-games I have seen with many ways to explore its artistically beautiful worlds, ranging from multiple Chocobo types to land and air vehicles.
The most highlighted advantage that i have addressed so far, was how much it balanced its cinematics with gameplay! The game feels intuitive to the player's sense for when they'll get bored so that it immediately cuts off the cinematic scene to present the gameplay.
Adding to how much diverse the gameplay is, the free roaming is much much better than FF XV and allows you to freely jump and step onto almost every area in sight.
There wouldn't have been a moment in Rebirth where I just felt "Bored" or "Overwhelmed" like it used to be in the previous titles, the dev were really listening this time to make one of the most enjoyable experiences I had in a while.
