The game will use an open world and have a reworked combat system. It will have all 83 characters from Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires and some new characters including Zhou Cang playable in Musou Stars. The original Japanese numbered titles in the series are behind the numbered series in the west.

Farshad 6

New combat system is fluid and fun but everything else is subpar. It's more like a proof of concept than an actual end product. Serves as a promising foundation for the future games but they sure have a lot of work on their hands to turn it into a solid game.
