HOLY, FREAKIN, COW. A BANGER OF A GAME. Not what I expected from DOOM Eternal, but woah! Generally was so good.

Doom Slayer coming in to not only save Earth, but kill the demons of his past, Saving the man that betrayed him and the end of the last game, killing the Icon of Sin, and shooting a HOLE INTO MARS, JUST TO MAKE THINGS GO QUICKER.

You can sense Doom Slayer does not care at all while doing most of the things he does in this game. Other times u actually see true emtion from our almost always silent protagonist.

I HIGHLY reccomend this game, 2016's DOOM isnt entirely needed, but it does help connect a few things. But I really reccomed this game if u want a fast pace, gorey game, where there is no Rest for the living, as you fight Hell on Earth, with ur trusty Super Shotgun and BFG, oh and lets not forget you're new little toy, The Crucible a one sword that one shots everything but the bosses.

Again I cant reccomend this enough, such great game, TIME FOR THE ACIENT GODS!

Takes everything that makes Doom (2016) great, multiplies it by 2, and adds onto it. That's Doom Eternal in a nutshell.

It is almost impossible to separate my love for this game without remembering that first week of COVID, cooped up inside playing through this game over and over again. I think what separates Doom Eternal from nearly every other shooter, including its predecessor, is a fun mastery. What I mean is that while you may think you have figured out all the tricks to the game, every play-through teaches you to use the tools you have, better than you ever have. Most shooters dumb down their game with set pieces and a story that you just want to skip. Eternal offers a story but doesn’t force it, although I think everyone should read through the codex at least once (there is some amazing lore in there). The level designs are varied and feel unique from each other, unlike past Doom games. And above all, every aspect of combat and the tools you have to dispose of demons is useful, and more importantly: a joy to use. Mick Gordon was at the top of his game when he made this soundtrack and deserves every accolade, which Bethesda will refuse to give him. The only complaint I have is that the battle mode is forgettable, but with the amazing 2 part DLC, great master levels, and horde mode it is honestly fine. This is the biggest celebration of doom and its fans that has ever been created and for all I know: will ever be created. I’m just glad I got to be apart of this ride.
